Meet the suppliers - our recent networking evening

Networking in Romsey ....

Our latest get together of wedding suppliers was excellent, we had a fabulous collection of visitors and a chance to meet some new faces, chat about some excellent ideas and make some valuable contacts.

In return we hope that they too went home knowing a little more about us, understand how we can help brides and more importantly what we believe makes a good wedding planner - and that's different than what most think!

So the line up, to give them a little mention, was (in no particular order)

Frankie Laborda Hair and Make up.

http://www.frankielaborda.com/biography.html
Frankie is fairly new to the wedding world, she is an experienced make up and hair stylist of many years from London who is now in Hampshire and lucky for us that she is! I can't wait to work with her on a wedding.

Candy with Love

Pomp and Petals

http://www.pompandpetals.co.uk/weddings.html
This is the first time we have met Kay and what a wonderful lady she is, she is fairly new to the wedding world and we can see her taking it over, her work is amazing and her view on working with couples is exactly as it should be. We look forward to seeing her in action.

Martin Harris Photography

Martin is a regular at our supplier get togethers and has enough drive and enthusiasm to put us all to shame, we hope to see him in action very soon.

Abbie - Life Poster

We loved this idea, have a range of your wedding images set in one beautiful collage, choose from various designs and prices. Ideal for gifts or for display (especially if you can't decide which of your pic you love the most!)

Bramley's Tea Rooms

http://www.bramleystearooms.co.uk/
It was lovely to meet Ellie and Jo from Bramley's (and try some yummy cake!) I've been to Bramley's myself and adore their cakes and treats. Ellie is a self confessed cake-a-holic and they know their stuff! They provide cakes to events and businesses all over the Romsey and surrounding areas and are soon to be expanding to a wider field. Perfect for that English wedding with an afternoon tea.

Wines for your Wedding - we have the answer!

Supplying your own wine? Fancy a change from the supermarket specials?

We can help provide excellent wine at low prices delivered to your venue door, all from our trusted supplier - Cavendish Wines in Romsey.

Cavendish Wines are part of Theirry's wine services in Romsey, they import amazing wines from the old and new world straight to your door. I know these guys personally having worked with them for many years and I'm happy now to be part of the team and able to provide couples with advice, tastings, drinks packages and of course some lovely wine.

As part of the selection process of your wine we can offer the following to help you make the right decision when it comes to your special day:

* Menu and wine matching, to get the most out of your menu
* Wine tastings to ensure you know what you are buying
* Expert advice to help you make informed choices
* Excellent, budget friendly prices to buy in bulk
* Free delivery (minimum order applies)
* Drinks packages to suit your day from as little as £10pp

Cavendish pride themselves on giving the best wines at affordable prices, none of the wines you purchase will be available in supermarkets so you will feel special and unique. They invest a lot of time and experience to choosing the right suppliers from around the world and a varied selection to suit every event.

Why buy Cavendish wines and not just a supermarket special offer?

We are asked this a lot and the answer is simple. The wines are unique, they are excellent quality and as they are not available through your local supermarkets your guests won't know that they cost about the same as a 3 for £10 offer you might have previously used! By purchasing your local special offers you not only settle for perhaps lower quality wines but your guests are likely to know where the wine came from and what sort of cost this entails, this isn't a problem for most but if you want to treat your guests for around the same cost then invest the time in choosing Cavendish, have a menu matching with your caterer and see the difference a personal touch can make too your day.

After all you will have spent a lot of time choosing your menu and it is a large part of the day as well as the budget, why not take the expert advice and match your wine exactly to your menu and give your guests an all round taste experience.

For more information or for a brochure and price list contact us at enquiries@isabellaweddings.co.uk or visit our website www.isabellaweddings.co.uk

Look forward to tasting some great wines with you soon!

Weddings by the Sea

Isabella Weddings offer wedding planning evenings to the couples at this fabulous waterside venue - The Christchurch Harbour Hotel.

When, as a bride, you begin to think of planning a wedding you are faced with many tricky decisions, what venue, what time of year, how much can we afford, what type of wedding shall we have. Many couples (including myself) could be forgiven for ditching the UK wedding planning and instead head off to the sun and elope!

Before you book the flights though, take a moment to remember just how beautiful the UK can be and with some stunning venues offering seaside locations, what more could you ask for on a warm summer's day.

The Christchurch Harbour Hotel offers you a chance to enjoy your own piece of waterside heaven for your wedding. Only 7 miles from Bournemouth, this sunny waterfront haven is an idyllic location for your special day, with uninterrupted panoramic views over the harbour, very few wedding venues can match the passion and beauty of this incredible setting.

Take your vows against a backdrop of breathtaking coastline views, overlooking Mudeford Quay and out towards Hengistbury Head and the Isle of Wight, the stunning waterfront location is the perfect setting for any wedding celebration. Watch the boats go by, as the local swans elegantly glide across the water, a truly unique setting to be enjoyed by you and your guests. Enjoy the award winning cuisine and dramatic golden sunsets, guaranteeing some truly memorable photo opportunities.

I was lucky enough to meet the team at the Christchurch Harbour Hotel recently and enjoyed a fabulous lunch whilst chatting about the wonderful weddings they were looking forward to welcoming there.

We are joining forces with this dedicated team and are proud to be able to offer their couples the chance to have a little extra support with one our wedding planners, a little extra help for those brides that are finding the wedding planning road a little bumpy. We can offer advice on all areas of your day, from attire to photography and from keeping children entertained to wine tastings.

We are huge fans of the Christchurch Harbour Hotel, they have some wonderful wedding packages for up to 120 guests and can offer a wide range of menu options and packages to suit your requirements.

Why not get in touch with them today, by visiting their website

Or by emailing Lauren on Lauren.Bond-Thomas@harbourhotels.co.uk

Or do get in touch with us anytime for more information on both this wonderful venue or about out planning evenings.

Fingertips Designs at our New Forest Pre-Loved Wedding Fair!

Fingertips Designs
We are so thrilled to have Fingertips Designs at our Pre-Loved Wedding Fair this Sunday.
We also had the pleasure of meeting Amber and her mum, Kathryn at our suppliers coffee meeting yesterday and were so impressed with their original creative business. We even had a go ourselves making keyrings with our own fingertips! This will be a sure talking point at any even. They even cater for childrens parties.
The concept of their crafty business is to make art fun! So why not incorporate it into your wedding, be it your stationary or your table plan or guest book! The art work can even be framed afterwards in gorgeous chunky wood frames made by Amber's father!

Our favourite venues

As you know over the last 12 months Isabella Weddings have grown from strength to strength and along the way we have begun working with some fabulous venues, some we support fully and some we work with on a series of weddings throughout the season. All of these stunning venues are ones that we fully recommend and love, tell us what you think.

Hill Place, Swanmore, Hampshire

www.hillplace.co.uk

This is the success story of 2011, this lovely old house with a fabulous family offer a wedding venue with history, relaxed surroundings and a home from home promise. They have been featured on Channel 4's Country House Rescue and have recently won the award for Best Regional Wedding Venue in the South East by the Wedding Industry Awards and it is easy to see why.

No other venue is like this, it is relaxed, comfortable but luxury with home comforts. Rebecca and Will have it right and offer a wonderful wedding experience with just the right amount of support.

We work with Hill Place closely and are considered part of the team, we can also provide an 'all inclusive' offer to couples, guaranteeing them excellent suppliers and a stress free wedding planning journey.

Old Alresford House, nr Winchester

www.oldalresfordhouse.com

This stunning mansion is a luxury wedding venue waiting to be taken advantage of, the owners are a wonderful family who have put heart and soul into renovating this lovely house to ensure every wedding is swathed in luxury and glamour. The house is situated on the outskirts of Winchester so it's ideal for city couples, it can house up to 120 guests in the ballroom and offers an outdoor marquee for that choice of location for your event.

Every couple booking their wedding with Old Alresford House are offered some time with an Isabella Weddings planner as part of their package, a wedding gift from the owners. We will also be there on your day to co-ordinate and help from start to finish.

Newclose County Cricket Ground, Isle of Wight

www.newcloseiowweddings.co.uk

This is a fairly new venue of ours, we are working closely with the owners to provide a package that offers couples a choice as well as a fully support wedding planning journey. The club has room for smaller weddings of up to 90 within the clubhouse and the huge, luxury marquee can provide space for 320 guests with a fully stocked bar and all you need for a wonderful Island wedding.

Do get in touch with us if you would like to know more about this wonderful, relaxed wedding venue with fabulous views of the Island.

Portsmouth Heritage Sites

We also work with some lovely venues in and around Portsmouth, there is so much history in this city and a chance to really have a unique wedding. We are organising a wedding and home event in the city this summer to showcase some of these lovely venues, we hope you can come along and say Hi.

Here are two of our favourites in Portsmouth ...

The Square Tower

The Guildhall

Our list of venues we love and work with is growing all the time so if you would like some help with your venue search or if you are a venue and feel that some external help might be worth a chat then get in touch, we'd love to hear from you.

Thank you to all the venues above who have welcomed us and where we now feel part of the family, we do enjoy working with you all.
